Advionics has officially opened its new production facility in Oostkamp. With this new 6,000 m² building, the Belgian high-tech company doubles its production capacity to meet the rapidly growing demand for defence and aerospace technology in Europe.
The opening of the new facility marks an important milestone in the further development of Advionics as a leading player in avionics, radar and RF technology. The project forms part of a broader investment strategy by the Intersoft Electronics Group to further expand its industrial capacity and technological expertise.
To mark the opening, Advionics organised an exclusive event for a select group of national and international partners from the defence and technology sectors. During the event, guests were given a unique behind-the-scenes look at the new production lines, a technical demonstration of several systems, and a guided tour of the facility. The day concluded in an informal atmosphere with Belgian fries, a nod to the company’s strong local roots.
The opening also takes place on the eve of BEDEX, the first international defence exhibition to be organised in Belgium. At a time when European countries are rapidly strengthening their defence capabilities and investing in technological autonomy, Advionics positions itself clearly as a reliable industrial partner within the European defence ecosystem.
The new production site is expected to create up to 75 additional jobs in Oostkamp and represents an important step in supporting future programmes in aviation, radar and defence systems.
