Intersoft Electronics provides state-of-the-art technology for radar system integration, upgrades and service life extensions. The modularly designed processor, receiver, transmitter and antenna subsystems provide a technology platform that allows for a flexible approach to civil and military radar projects, ranging from Airport Surveillance Radar to multibeam long range air defense systems.

The innovative Next Generation System Platform (NGSP®) is the core for both, brand new OEM radar systems and service life extensions of legacy systems. NGSP® provides a new take on radar design, adapted to the new challenges for air traffic control and the fast paced technological advance. It’s a concept for radar manufacturers as well as for ANSPs.

Midlife Upgrade Projects

Midlife Upgrade projects address obsolescence and new requirements due to changing airspace environments. Intersoft Electronics has been performing MLU projects on a wide range of ASR and Long Range Radar systems, both civil and military, since the early 2000s. The modular Next Generation System Platform (NGSP®) with its patented processing algorithms is the technological core of each midlife upgrade. The Non-Rotating Array (NORA®) can complement any MLU with its most innovative radar antenna technologies.

NGSP® Next Generation System Platform

The signal and data processing electronics are typically the first subsystem to become obsolete or underperform. Intersoft Electronics designed the Next Generation System Platform (NGSP®) with flexibility in mind. It comprises a frequency synthesizer (exciter), receiver, and signal and data processing electronics and has been utilized to upgrade various combined primary and secondary radar systems, ranging from ASR/Terminal Approach, Gap Filler, and Precision Approach to En-Route and Long-Range 3D military systems.

Intersoft’s NGSP® is a versatile Radar signal processing suite which can be used on various PSR and PSR/SSR(IFF) combined systems, for both military and civil aviation applications. It provides capabilities ranging from dual-beam, short-range Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR), to stacked-beam, 3D long-range air
surveillance Radar with advanced ECCM capabilities.
