Field CNS Services

SkyRF® Drone Based CNS Measurements

Intersoft Electronics and Skyguide have developed SkyRF®, the drone-based CNS measurement service that addresses the challenges of CNS performance analysis and certification. SkyRF® can measure CNS system parameters in a single 10-minute flight, and can even combine the measurement of different CNS, e.g. ILS and DME. Traditional test flights cannot compete with the repeatability of SkyRF®’s pre-programmed trajectories. The drone complements existing ground measurements by reducing ground clutter as it flies at altitude.

Modern IFF Standards and the Path to AIMS Certification

While Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) technology has been used for decades, the evolution to Mode 5 standards and the rigorous demands of AIMS certification have changed the landscape for engineers and operators alike. Validating these systems now requires moving beyond traditional flight trials toward precise, simulation-driven testing.

Intersoft Electronics Services – Services Capabilities

Intersoft Services is a globally coordinated services organization that ensures the safe, reliable and high performance operation of CNS, Radar, AGL and MET systems around the world. While each regional entity has its own strengths, we all operate as one integrated network, sharing methods, tools, and expertise.

Digitalisation and the Future of CNS Technical Workforces

Digitalisation is more than a technological upgrade, it’s a strategic transformation that is reshaping the aviation industry. Unlike simple digitisation, which converts analog signals into digital data, digitalisation integrates advanced tools and processes across operations to optimize performance, enhance safety, and reduce costs. For Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) systems, this evolution is redefining the role of technical workforces worldwide.

Radome Installation at Intersoft Electronics

Our offices in Olen will be easy to find from now on — just look for the building with the radome on the roof! Over the past couple of weeks, we've been assembling and installing a radome, which will serve as the new test platform for our NORA Non-Rotating Arrays.
